selfcare mummy blog series.jpg

This New Year I’m talking all about Self-Care as a mum and how important it is to take that time for us. Every week I’ll be bringing you a new guest blog post with some top tips and hopefully throughout the next few months we’ll have put together an amazing list of different ideas for self-care.

This week is Mandi Singh.

Tell us a bit about yourself - who you are, what you do and a bit about your family:

I am an online health coach. A mum of 2 who loves to practice Yoga and Ayurveda. I love to help others be fit and maintain healthy lifestyle. I love encouraging others to maintain positive mindset in all aspects of life.

What do you do for self-care as a mum and how do you make time for self-care?

I practice yoga, it not only takes care of my body but I have managed to come out of postpartum depression. Maintain health and my confidence has grown manifolds. I also lost lots of weight. I try to wake up earlier than my kids so about 5:30 am to do Yoga.

Other than that I love to give myself a massage depending on the mend and time face, legs or body. I regularly I like to do my nails 😜 myself

Every month like to get myself waxed, threading eyebrows every fortnight. All this mostly on weekend and when kids are looked after by dad or tucked in bed.

What are your three top tips for self-care for mums?

  1. Practice meditation - wake up earlier than kids and everyone else to get your mind and thoughts together. To give yourself me time.

  2. Try and achieve just 3 things on your to do list so you feel confident and sense of achievement

  3. Do not procrastinate, it’s hard but please try not to we have lot on our shoulders

Are there any products/businesses/podcasts ect that you would recommend for self-care?

Juice Plus Berries and Omegas and definitely Shakes that are Vegan and Gluten free for managing health.

Juice plus again really helps to change your lifestyle and manage good habits to stay fitter and healthier
